~White Wednesday #48~

Welcome to yet another "White Wednesday". I want to once again thank everyone who participates in this theme. I get so many comments from people saying they can't wait for Wednesday to go through the list of talented bloggers out there. Speaking of the list, I think I'm going to try a different kind this week. Last week one side of names got cut off and they have a new one which shows a thumbnail photo of everyone entering. We'll try it and you can let me know what you think.

Last week I got lucky at my local Goodwill and found this adorable white metal patio table and chairs. Not sure if I'll keep this one, but I already have a similar one with four chairs so I'll probably take it to my next show this Summer. While out and about I also went to a nursery and bought some annuals and a few new shrubs. One of which is this beautiful snowball bush. I've been wanting to get one for a while now. The man at the counter was really nice and he said "Now you can have a snowball fight during the summer".

I cut a few branches to make this lovely bouquet and after the photoshoot put them in the house where my lilacs had been. The last photo is a better shot of my birdcage I have hanging in this corner because I got a few comments about wanting to see more of it. It's one of my favorites and I love the gray color. Enjoy! xoxo K.

  1. Hi Kathleen,

I think you will like this list a lot better. From all the blog parties that I participate in I really like the ones with the thumbnail the best.

Boy did you ever get lucky with that little set. It's so adorable. Have a great week my friend!

  3. Gorgeous flowers! The snowflake hydrangea was developed by a friend of my parents. If you are ever in the Birmingham, AL area visit Aldridge Gardens.

  15. I love those snowballs! The patio set is fabulous too.

I love the thumbnail links, but they seem rather small and the names are scrunched. Maybe there's a larger format? But whatever they look like, thanks for hosting wonderful white Wednesdays! It's my favorite blogging day.

  16. Love the new patio table with chairs..... also love the Snowball bush ~ you can take those cuttings & then Plant them in the ground & they should root, at my old house, I took cuttings from my brother & within a year, had several large bushes from it....

  44. Hi Kathleen,
Yes, I finally got the linky thing to work. I didn't have the window maximized to full size. It wouldn't let me see the bottom of the page with the window minimized. I'm sooo computer illiterate. I'm learning as I go along. :)

I did not add the top to my kitchen island. It came that way, but I know that they added it at the antiques shop where I bought it from. It's galvanized metal. It looks like they just cut the corners, bent it over the original top, and nailed it in place.

I just spied your previous post. Your garden is just lovely. Love all the white flowers!!
    :) ~ Jo

  52. Hello Kathleen!
THis was the first time I got in on your White Wed. I LOVE IT!!! Your linky thing was really neat! To answer your question on the cushions I have in my picture~ I honestly don't recall where I got them. I has been awhile since I bought them and I had needed them for some chairs. Well I never did use them as I sold the chairs. THey are brand new and for sale (26.95 for the set of 4) and I am sure that shipping would be resonable as they are not heavy.
Just let me know! Hope your day is great!!
    Beth
P.S. I am gonna add you to my side bar!
