I received many comments on my feedsack pillow on my front porch and wanted to share some more photos of a few I have. A few years ago I purchased some statuary pieces from a nursery and he gave me some old feedsacks to put in between them so they wouldn't move around. When I pulled them out I was amazed that they were in such good condition. Two of them are sacks for coffee beans. I think they make great pillows for outside so you don't have to worry about them getting dirty or if you have furry friends who like to snuggle up to them. I'm loving anything with numbers or writing on it so these fit in nicely. Hope everyone enjoyed their weekend. xoxo K.
Which do you love more, the statues from the nursery or the sacks used to protect them? How perfect that you saved them!

Boy, what a fun surprise! Love the feed sacks! It's a little more difficult to find feedsacks with just black writing on them. Great pillows Kathleen!
ReplyDeleteI love the look of feedsack pillows, and yours are beautiful! How lucky that the feedsacks were given to you as "extras" to protect your statues. :)

I like them! Way to repurpose those sacks! This is a nice twist on the other pillows I have seen floating around on the Internet.

What nice packing material. All I normally get is newspaper! Fantastic pillows and they look great on your porch. Hugs, Sherry

I can imagine your face as you unwrapped your statuary and discovered you'd been given an unexpected bonus. Bet you grinned from ear to ear as inspiration struck..I would have! The pillows are spectacular...
ReplyDeleteThat is terrific and you've saved them and made pillows. I like burlap! It reminds me of getting horse feed which was burlap bags of rolled oats for our horses when I was little.
ReplyDeleteGosh.....all I ever get as packing material is newspaper...lol! You're a lucky gal, Kathleen! And you knew right away what you were going to do with them, didn't you? :) Love them!
