~Powder Room~

I'm still working on redecorating some rooms in my house and had a little time recently to finish up with our powder room.  This room is super tiny with just a pedestal sink, toilet and no storage.  I placed a wooden shelf in there and added a curtain to hide all the extras and we hung a medicine cabinet also.  A small folding chair with a basket for extra towels and a wooden box to hold toilet paper is sitting on the back of the toilet.  Since this is a small room  I could only get certain areas for my photos and the small window was only allowing in a small amount of light, but I think you can get the idea.  Enjoy!  xoxo K.

I cut some more of my snowball blooms to place in my newest brown transferware pitcher and hope to keep fresh blooms throughout the Summer for guests to enjoy.

Another new addition is some of my husband's deer horns which always add texture into any room.  My brown bottle collection rests on the shelf and can be changed out with flowers, feathers, or twigs as the seasons change.

This little cabinet has been in this room since we moved in and it's perfect for the small space.

~White Wednesday # 154~

I hope you don't mind another post with flowers.....I just can't seem to get enough of them this time of year. 

Today I'm sharing some snowball blooms that are in glass bottles inside a wooden tote on my coffee table in my living room.  Hope everyone is enjoying a little sunshine in their life this week:-)  Enjoy!  xoxo K.

~White Wednesday # 153~

Well our nice sunny warm days have officially come to an end and we are back to rain....I knew this was going to be hard on me since we had two full weeks of dry weather and I was loving every minute of it!  I did have a chance during the dry spell to pick up a few gardening items in between all the kid activities.

I found this smaller sized wood cubby that i added numbers to and these great metal pots from a sweet lady who has a wonderful shop on her property filled to the brim.  I was able to get all the pots on my porch and patio planted as well and my husband even got our vegetable garden planted which is early for us since we live at a higher elevation.  I hope the rain doesn't last too long because I want to be able to get out and enjoy my new garden items and all my blooms.  Enjoy!  xoxo K.

~Wisteria~

I wanted to share a few photos of my wisteria in bloom since we are still being blessed with warm sunny weather for a couple more days before the rains come back.

I planted it on either side of my porch six years ago and it has finally grown large enough to cover the front area of our porch which provides nice shade in the Summer, but this is the first time it has ever bloomed.  I was so excited when it was first showing signs and even though there are probably only twenty blooms, they are so gorgeous.  Sometimes things are worth the wait and this was one of those times.  Enjoy!  xoxo K.

~White Wednesday # 152~

I had always wished that our property had an old barn on it, but it didn't.  One year shortly after we had moved here my husband surprised me with a barn birdhouse instead and I have cherished it for many years.

It started out with red barn wood that he had salvaged from one of his Uncle's old falling down barns.  Over time sitting outside it started to deteriorate so a couple years ago he patched it up for me and it got a new "white" paint job.  I used to have it sitting on a stump in front of our house, but now it resides on a chippy post so it can be moved easily.  Enjoy!  xoxo K. 

My 16 year old son is taking wood shop at school and surprised me recently with this little guy.  I thought it was so sweet of him since he knows I love birdhouses.  I added this number 8 I had lying around because his birthday is on the 8th:-)

My feature for May is going to blow all you chippy white lovers away.  It is none other than Glenn and Joe over at Curious Boys.  Ever since they started playing along with WW I've been hooked  and I know you will be too.  Here is just a sampling of what they have in their shop and home.

~Heavenly Scent of Lilacs~

I know I said I wasn't going to be posting much, but while out working in my yard this afternoon I decided to cut some of my lilacs to enjoy and share with you.  I've always loved their beauty and their scent......it's heavenly!  I really like the combination of the purple lilacs in the aqua canning jars.

The weather here has been so beautiful the past few days and I'm trying to be out in it as much as possible working in my flowerbeds and garden.  Enjoy!  xoxo K.
