~Keeping it Simple~

I strive for Summer to be relaxing as I enjoy the warm sunshine out in the garden and spend time with family and friends.

That is why I like to keep things simple in my decor with  just a few hydrangea blooms as the centerpiece for my dining room table. Enjoy!  xoxo K.

I decided to get my chicken feeder out again to enjoy and the the soft pink of these blooms blends nicely with  the neutral furnishing, architectural pieces and ironstone I have in this room.
I frequently get asked the color of my walls in this room, so I thought I would share it with you in this post.  I used Grant Beige from Benjamin Moore in both the dining room and powder room.

Enjoy your week.  I intend to relish in every moment of this season since I know it goes by so quickly.  Happy Summer!

I've also just recently started an Instagram account  at fadedcharmliving and you can click here to see what I'm up to:-)

  10. I have gone lighter on the decorating this summer also- less vignettes and less in those that exist. I want to keep the dusting to a minimum and the beach time to a maximum.

    I love your chicken feeder.

  20. The perfect chair!!! I need to keep my eyes open for one like that. I have a space that needs a small, but comfortable chair. I'll be thinking of you while I enjoy looking.

  21. Simple and pretty, Kathleen! I have flowers on our dining table right now that will be headed for the trash this afternoon (when I get home from work) and I will need to think about what I want to put in their place. I like to keep it simple mainly because we eat at this table, the hubs and I, and I like to be able to just push whatever I have in the center off to one side come dinner time.

  23. This is a lovely room. The centerpiece is actually quite wonderful - clean and classic, but with pretty nuances. Love your white panels, as well, and yes, the paint color is terrific. Best aspect though is the sun streaming in.
